Zoo Aventure
This is a story of Boo at the Zoo. Haylee, Sandi, Rachel, Ali, Derek, and I went to Boo at the Zoo, but none of us dressed up because we didn’t realize that it was Boo at the Zoo until we got there! We all had so much fun!
First we started of by going to Asia and saw elephants! It was really cool because right when we walked up to the elephants they were painting! It was kind of weird. But they put a paintbrush in the elephant’s trunk and the girl held up a canvas and the elephants started slapping the brush to the canvas!
Then to Africa, Haylee and I went the opposite way of everyone else and we first saw African hunting dogs! Then we saw a hippo, which is my favorite! But it was sad because they hippos wouldn’t get out of the water, so we just got to see their heads. Beside them there were stone statues and one was a hippo and was a rhino, so we sat on them and took pictures. It was fun! Right beside the stones there were rhinos! Then we kept on walking and there were supposed to be more animals but since it was cold we didn’t get to see all of them because they were in the exhibit. As we walked there was a huge field, we didn’t think anything was in there but then we saw something running! We walked up to the tables that they had and we looked around and saw lots of awesome animals! First we saw a giraffe, and then we saw two zebras chasing each other! Then we kept walking and we saw tigers! Then we saw cheetahs, and they came right up to the glass that we were standing at! It was so cool! We kept walking and there was a pond, there was a sign on it that said “Beware: Alligators!” we got scared and ran away. We had to get back in town before four, because we were going to Haylee’s grandma’s house and our parents were going to hang out. So we were running, and we saw lots of birds then we kept walking and saw giant tortoises! They were huge! They were the biggest tortoises I had ever seen! There was a book that talked about them and it said one of them was over 200 pounds! It was really cool because I’ve never seen a tortoise that was bigger than 50 pounds!
The zoo was so much fun. I am glad that I got to go!

In class we created a radio commercial over one of the books we have read. We read the book, then we wrote a script, after that we recorded it on audicity.

Narrator
Narrator: Hannah, Kara, and Jesi are best friends, and plan on staying like that for their entire lives. They hang out almost every weekend. Hannah and Jesi though, they hang out almost every Wednesday and Thursday. They live about a minute away from each other. But all the girls are so different.
Hannah: (Happily bouncing around) Hey, Jesi and Kara, lets have a sleepover at my house on Friday!
Jesi: (With a shocked look) What about Friday night football game? We CAN’T miss that!
Kara: (Giggly) Yeah, everyone goes. If we don’t go the game, we wouldn’t have fun.
Hannah: (With a smile on her face) Well I guess we can go. But I’m going to cheer for the football team, from the other side of the fence!
Jesi: (confused look on her face) Wait! So are we going or not?
Kara: (being sarcastic) Blondie, yes we are going; Hannah is just going to cheer for the team!
Jesi: Oh okay. Now I’m happy since we get to go!
Hannah: (laughing) Okay, so just meet at my locker after school today!
Narrator: During the time that the girls all go to their separate classes Kara starts feeling a little sick. She goes to the nurses’ office but doesn’t have time to stop and tell Hannah and Jesi that she can’t have the sleepover since she is sick. Kara feels so bad about this.
Hannah: (sitting at the lunch table) Jesi, were in the world is Kara?
Jesi: (standing up looking around) Uhm, I was kind of wondering the same thing!
Hannah: (sad look) her class is already in here, and she isn’t!
Jesi: I’ll go ask Sheyenne to see if she knows where she is.
(Jesi walks over and is gone for about two minutes)
Hannah: (In a really high voice) where is she?!
Jesi: (in a sad voice) she is sick!
Hannah: NO! She can’t be sick today!
Jesi: (feeling confident) Maybe she will make a recovery and still come!
Hannah: (rubbing her head) Jesi, I doubt that will happen. We both know that when Kara says she is sick she is really sick! She wouldn’t leave school unless she was very sick!
Jesi: (in a sad voice) Oh, yeah.
Hannah: Well okay I will try to be confident!
Narrator: So lunch ended and the girls went back to their separate classes. They are both really sad and thinking of ways that they all could hang out even though she is at her house. They were both off task in their classes. Therefore, they got in trouble. Now school is over and Jesi and Hannah meet up at Hannah’s locker
Hannah: (excited) yes! School is finally out! Party at my house! Woo Hoo!
Jesi: (smiling and laughing) Oh yeah, nice Hannah, very nice!
Hannah: (getting unhappy) Oh my gosh, I need to turn on my phone to see if Kara texted me!
Jesi: I turned my phone on when I was waiting for you to come. She texted me and……. (Screaming) She is still coming!
Hannah: Oh my, really?
Jesi: Well the text says “I am feeling tons better!” So I am guessing she is still going to come!
Hannah: Yes! I’m so excited!
Jesi: (jumping up and down yelling) Boo Yah Boo Yah!
Narrator: So, after they had their little break outs Taylor (Hannah’s sister) picked up Jesi and Hannah. Hannah mentioned that Kara had gone home early and they need to go pick her up. But then Taylor can’t because she wants to go get her friend! Hannah lives out in the country so they can’t go get dropped off then Taylor go get Kara.
Hannah: (tearing up) But Taylor! You have to. Kara has to come or I will cry because we planned this awhile ago.
Taylor: Hannah, you will be fine. You guys can just meet at the game.
Jesi: We have to get ready together!
Hannah: Taylor! Please! If we don’t get ready together it will look stupid! You should know that because you always get to get ready with your friends.
Taylor: (rolling eyes/ snotty voice) Oh my goodness Hannah, whatever fine you can get your way again.
Hannah: Thank you Taylor, love you!
Narrator: So when they picked up Kara they went to Hannah’s house. They got ready and they went to the game. The girls had a blast! They were so happy. As you know after the game they had a sleepover. It was their favorite sleepover yet!
